Record Growth Reported in Q1 for Identity Automation, as Company Expands Executive Team

HOUSTON, TX, April 25, 2019 –

Identity Automation, provider of the most complete portfolio of identity and access management (IAM) solutions on the market, today announced record advances in the first quarter of 2019 as part of its Identity Automation 2.0 growth strategy, a targeted initiative to scale the business with increased focus on execution.

Q1 2019 saw a 75 percent increase in new bookings of annual recurring revenue compared to Q1 2018 for Identity Automation. This growth was seen in sales across both the company’s RapidIdentity and HealthCast product lines, as Identity Automation expanded its presence in a number of target verticals, including healthcare, commercial, education, and government.

The Healthcare team lead the way with several significant customer wins, including one of the nation’s leading operators of general acute care hospitals that has over 100 facilities in 18 states. This continued momentum in healthcare builds on Identity Automation’s 2018 acquisition of HealthCast Inc., a leading provider of enterprise single sign-on (eSSO) and virtual desktop technology within the healthcare industry.

Identity Automation also saw momentum on the commercial front, including a major manufacturer of semiconductors with fabrication facilities worldwide choosing RapidIdentity for its broad range of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) capabilities. Another key win is a player in the smart-screen industry who opted for HealthCast ExactAccess Single Sign-On (SSO) to enhance its workflow efficiency.

Continuing its dominance in education, Identity Automation closed out 2018 by winning one of the nation’s top ten largest K-12 school districts. RapidIdentity is being implemented districtwide for more than 300,000 users, spanning over 300 schools and education centers. Q1 built on this success with further expansion into greater North America and additional key wins in the higher education market.

As another element of the Identity Automation 2.0 growth strategy, Identity Automation has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Geoff Surkamer as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Surkamer brings more than 28 years of software customer and industry leadership experience. As CRO, he leads the go-to-market strategy and execution across Identity Automation’s sales and marketing teams.

"Geoff brings a wealth of experience to Identity Automation, with his proven track record of success and relentless passion for developing teams and leading change," said James Litton, CEO of Identity Automation. “His simple approach—that transparency creates trust—aligns perfectly with Identity Automation’s core values and mission to be a trusted partner to our customers on their IAM journey.”

Surkamer focused on personnel as a key Q1 initiative by doubling down on sales coverage, building out the Channel, Enablement, and Sales Development programs. This helped fuel record increases in personnel year-over-year, with 32 percent growth in headcount from 2018.

"The infectious energy around our Identity Automation 2.0 growth strategy has pushed us further into key markets, while continuing to refine our customer success efforts and enhance customer execution to ensure our customers remain at the core of our strategy," explained Surkamer, adding: “I’m excited to see the impact these changes will bring over time as we add new team members with fresh ideas and elevate our approach across every facet of the market.”
